Receiving calls

The handling of any event, or message, starts when it is received. Emy provides several ways to receive messages:

  • call emergency services such as 112;
  • eCall reception, or automatically receiving call and metadata from the eCall equipment of a crashed car, of course if the car has such equipment;
  • receiving a call from the eVeselībasPunkts.lv app - the call is accompanied by metadata about the registered user and the location of the device;
  • Receiving SMS from people with hearing/speech impairments;
  • receiving messages from the 112 app if the person has been identified.

Although there are different channels for obtaining information, all the data is held on one centralised platform, which ensures a rapid flow of information, the fastest possible response from the services, and the possibility to follow the application process through to the resolution and closure of the report.
